Charitable Giving
The "Lovewell Blake 150 Challenge" is our latest initiative in charitable giving. To mark the firm's 150th anniversary partners and staff are aiming to raise £150,000 which will be donated to charitable and community projects throughout Norfolk and the area of Suffolk surrounding Lowestoft and Halesworth. We hope that over 250 organisations will benefit from this initiative.
Community Involvement
Partners and staff are encouraged to become involved in community projects. The give their skills and talents in many different ways - from fundraising activities to acting as school governors and trustees of charities. Community projects include collecting over 300 items of food and gifts for the Great Yarmouth Christmas Lunch at the Marina Centre. We support Norfolk Cricket, the Norfolk & Norwich Festival and the East Anglian Arts Foundation.
Supporting Charities
We support over 100 charities and community organisations by offering discounted fees for professional wirk and in some cases we give advice on a pro bono basis. We support the professiuonal services programme run by Business in the Community and give assistance with Pro-Help projects. In a typical year we give charities over £75,000 discounted fees and free advice.
We have made major contributions to the Norwich Cathedral and Theatr Royal appeals and given small donations to many other small charities.
Helping the Environment
We want to do all we can to help the environment. We will play our part by reducing our energy consumption and promoting the recycling of materials - paper, toner cartridges, mobile phones, IT equipment, plastics and cardboard.
