Lovewell Blake is one of six firms who make up the UK federation formed by HLB International, the international network of accounting firms.  The federation includes Hawsons covering the Midlands, Menzies LLP in London and Surrey, Hazlewoods LLP in the South West, Evolution LLP covering the North East and Beever & Struthers covering Liverpool and Manchester.  

HLB International is a fast growing, dynamic network of independent professional accounting firms and business advisers aimed at attracting multi-national business.   Formed in 1969, HLBI ranks in the top 12 international accounting networks, servicing clients through its member firms in over 100 countries. 

HLBI focuses on quality and personal service – its ‘global care’ approach to clients - with regular quality assurance reviews of all member firms, an up-to-date ISA compliance international audit manual and membership of external professional bodies focused on quality issues. 

The initials ‘HLB’ derive from the names of three early members of the group. Through mergers, all three names have disappeared, and in 1990, Hodgson Landau Brands became HLB International.  HLBI now equates to ‘Helping Local Business Internationally’.

Member firms are well established locally. Close contact is maintained through international referral engagements, regular meetings, bulletins and news flashes from the central office and through a global intranet, providing a wide range of data and including on-line training and seminars via the HLB Academy.
