Accountants in the list of biggest firms

Accountants from the East of England have been ranked in the UK's top 50 practices by an industry journal.
Norfolk-based franchise accountancy firm TaxAssist, with 185 partners, was ranked at 34 having seen a 15pc rise in UK fee income at £16.25m for the year end December 2009.
Regional firm Price Bailey, which has an office in Norwich and 21 partners, was ranked at 36.
It was listed as having a UK fee income of £15.7m to the year ending March 2010, a 7pc increase on last year.
Norwich-based Larking Gowen, was ranked at 42 with 21 partners and a fee income of £13.6m to the year ending March 2010, up 2.3pc.
Just behind it was Lovewell Blake, founded in Great Yarmouth, ranked at 44.
It was listed as also having 21 partners and a fee income of £13.2m on the year ending September 2009, down 6.4pc.
MooreThompson, which has offices in Spalding, Wisbech and Market Deeping, was ranked 88 in the +50 list.
The firm made it's debut in the list, published by Accountancy Age magazine, in 2009.
It saw its fee income rise 2.1pc to £3.78m for the year to December 2009 with nine partners, according to the list.
