Closure of the Business Growth Service

By: James Banham Date: 3 December 2015
Category: Growth

Following the Autumn Statement on 25 November, the government has decided to wind down the national delivery of the Business Growth Service; in fact what they actually mean is stop with immediate effect.

All current contractual commitments will be honoured, providing all support and related activity is completed by the end of March 2016 and any contribution due from the client had been paid by the end of November 2015.

This is disappointing news, however I would like to emphasise that, whilst the Business Growth Service in its current guise will no longer be available, the knowledge that I have built up over the last 25 years is still very much at your disposal, and if you had been considering taking advantage of the scheme please contact me as I am looking at ways to support businesses along the same advantageous lines as the government scheme - same coach, different funding arrangements.

There are still many grants to support other aspects of growth that may be available to you. I look forward to hearing from you if this is something you are keen to find out more about.
