Press Release: Drone technology the focus of Lovewell Blake farmers evening

By: Marketing Team Date: 20 October 2015
Category: Press Release,Events,Halesworth

Drone technology and the ways it can be used to benefit the agricultural sector will be discussed at the next Farmers Evening, held by Suffolk Coastal NFU and Lovewell Blake later this month.

Guest speaker for the night will be James Foster-Clarke, from Metfield-based animal bedding products firm Robin Foster-Clarke.

Mr Foster-Clarke set up Skyview Robotics - a team of entrepreneurial technologists with expertise in aeronautics, biological science, spectral and optical imagery and software engineering.

He will demonstrate how the company’s remote optical sensing capabilities are being combined with drone technology to detect the earliest signs of disease and weed infestation in crops.

Lovewell Blake’s Brian Bale, partner at the firm’s Halesworth office and a member of its agricultural team, will chair the free event at Halesworth Golf Club, in Bramfield Road, Halesworth, on Tuesday October 20.

The evening starts at 7.15pm and concludes with a buffet from around 8.45pm. Book your place here.
