Press Release: Russell retiring after years of loyal service

Category: Great Yarmouth,Press Release,Partnership,Staff

Senior partner Russell Leggett retires at the end of the month after a Lovewell Blake career spanning five decades. Russell, the firm’s Great Yarmouth partner responsible for the energy and agricultural sectors, joined the firm in 1972, becoming a partner in 1982, and senior partner in 2009.

Over the years he has built up a broad portfolio of audit, accountancy and tax clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to large corporate organisations.

Paying tribute to his outstanding contribution to Lovewell Blake over 43 years, incoming senior partner, Paul Briddon, said: “Russell has been a fantastic servant to the firm over the years and will be missed by colleagues and clients alike. We wish him all the best for a long and happy retirement.”

In response Russell said: “Happily I am retiring in the knowledge that the clients I have known and enjoyed working with for so many years are in such capable hands. The team of partners and staff which I leave behind is an excellent one with a diversity of skills which enable the firm to deal in-house with every business or tax problem which could arise. I am sure the firm will go from strength to strength under this team.”

Russell’s outstanding contribution to the regional energy sector was recently recognised with a Lifetime Achievement award from the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR).
