Douglas Young

Douglas joined Lovewell Blake in 1980, qualified as a chartered accountant in 1983 and became a partner in 1988. He was elected Managing Partner in 2009 and chairs the firm’s Management Committee.

Douglas also heads the firm’s Agricultural Department co-ordinating a team dealing with over 350 farming clients throughout the firm. He sits on the National Agricultural Working Party for HLBI, He also deals with a number of owner managed businesses.

He enjoys "public" office roles and is a former Trustee of the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association and Governor of Easton College.

"My agricultural family background gives me a better insight into that sector and its specific requirements; helping people achieve their aspirations, whatever they may be, is incredibly satisfying."
