Russell joined the firm in 1972, became a partner in 1982 and was elected senior partner of the firm in 2009. He has built up a broad portfolio of audit and accountancy clients ranging from large corporate organisations to self-employed sole traders.
A major part of his clients consist of regulated professions such as solicitors, medical practitioners, insurance brokers and surveyors. He is also the Great Yarmouth office partner responsible for the agricultural sector. In addition, as a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners he specialises in tax planning using the various forms of Trusts available, not only for income tax but also capital gains tax and inheritance tax.
He is married with two daughters and is a keen football supporter and sometimes enjoys playing golf. From October 2009 Russell commenced as President of the Great Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce. He is a former chairman of Great Yarmouth and District Round Table and former treasurer for the St Nicholas Church Preservation Trust.
