Fundraising specialist and coach Richard Felton will be providing valuable insights into the evolving grant funding landscape and explore strategies for diversifying fundraising efforts by tapping into multiple income sources during the online event, which is being staged by the specialist Charities team at chartered accountants Lovewell Blake.
He will also discuss the current challenges charities face when raising funds from charitable trusts, foundations, and the lottery.
Alongside Mr Felton, experienced charity finance expert Stef Smith from Lovewell Blake will outline the importance of the details contained with financial statements, reminding charities of their legal duties around ensuring submissions are being made to the Charity Commission on time, and the impact of late submissions.
In a career spanning more than 30 years, Mr Felton has built a reputation within the charitable sector for fundraising leadership across a broad range of charitable causes, as well as for training and mentoring charities in trust fundraising. His fundraising consultancy Felton Fundraising raises more than £2.5 million a year for charities working throughout the county and across the UK.
Stef Smith said, “We are very fortunate to have Richard presenting at our latest webinar, as he is the acknowledged leader in trust and foundation fundraising in East Anglia, and one of the top charity fundraisers in the country.
“In a challenging economic climate for charities, improving the success rate in fundraising has to be a major priority for all charities, alongside ensuring that they have robust financial reporting mechanisms which meet their legal and regulatory obligations.”
The webinar takes place on Tuesday 8th October from 4.30pm to 5.30pm. Attendance is free, but places must be booked in advance.
