The scheme that reduces the price of leading software, which helps to boost growth and productivity in UK’s smaller businesses has now been made available for those businesses with 1 to 249 employees. This allows them to access discounts of up to £5,000 on approved software.
Previously, the scheme was only available to businesses with more than 5 employees.
Having announced that eCommerce software has also been added to the scheme, a software that helps businesses selling online and reach new markets. Businesses that adopt eCommerce can see on average a 7.5% increase in employee sales over 3 years.
Businesses can now access a £5,000 discount on 30 software solutions from 14 leading technology suppliers for eCommerce, digital accounting and CRM software. In addition, the government has also announced that Help to Grow: Digital will support one-to-one advice for SMEs on how best to adopt digital technology.
To qualify for the discount through the Help to Grow: Digital, businesses can be from any business sector, but must meet all four of the following criteria:
- be a business based in the United Kingdom registered with Companies House or be a registered society on the Financial Conduct Authorities Mutuals Register
- have at least 1 employee who is not an owner, up to a maximum of 249 employees
- have been actively trading for over 12 months, and have an incorporation date of at least 365 days prior to application
- be purchasing the approved software for the first time
