RAG is a group of 11 accountancy firms established to share best practice and technical expertise, helping each member to provide the right support and technical excellence to their agricultural clients. Representing East Anglia within the group, Lovewell Blake has distributed the survey to its agricultural clients, predominately throughout East Anglia.
The UK Industry Surveys gives farm businesses the platform to share their thoughts with anonymity on the biggest issues impacting the agricultural sector in 2021. Some of the issues covered in the survey include the future of farm subsidies, business succession, diversification, and the current challenges facing their businesses from availability of labour to taxation.
Once the survey closes on 30 April, the responses obtained from all 11 regional member firms will be collated to present a national picture of how UK farmers themselves see the both current and future landscapes.
results of the survey will provide an insight to how farming businesses and
landowners are reacting and planning for changes ahead,” announced Iain
McVicar, the Chairman of RAG. “The trends across the country and industry
sectors will enable us to better help businesses plan for the future and, where
appropriate, lobby government for assistance
“As well as pooling together useful information on a national level, the survey allows us to pose questions of our local clients in an anonymous fashion which we wouldn’t always get the opportunity to ask in a regular meeting,” added Matthew Waters, a Manager at Lovewell Blake who helped compile the survey.
Everyone is welcome to complete the survey which should take just over five minutes and will be open until 30 April 2021. Completing the survey gives you the chance to win an Apple 10.2” 32Gb iPad in your chosen colour.
