We are delighted to invite you to join us for our next insightful and engaging Aylsham Agricultural breakfast. We will be hearing from two speakers who will share their expertise on crucial topics affecting our industry and economy.
First, we will welcome Henry Walker, Senior Farm Conservation Adviser for Norfolk FWAG for 22 years. Graduating with an Ecology degree from UEA in 2000, Henry pursued the focus of his studies on nature conservation on farmland by working on arable farms in Norfolk and livestock farms in the Hebrides. He then went on to work on both coastal & wetland nature reserves and a research project on agri-environmental schemes for farmland birds before joining FWAG. With over 70% of the UK dedicated to agriculture, this is where we can make the greatest contribution to biodiversity conservation and bring about environmental change at a landscape scale.
Henry will talk about working with farmers to improve drought and flood resilience using Nature Based Solutions and mitigating climate change by restoring wetlands and planting trees.
Following Henry, Chris Solt, Agriculture Partner at Lovewell Blake will give a topical update following the budget for the agricultural sector.
