Why did you choose accountancy?
Throughout college, I knew that I wanted to do an apprenticeship, as I wanted to do a real job and gain practical work experience alongside studying towards my qualifications. I wanted to be able to progress into a career in accountancy while continuing my studies.
Why did you choose Lovewell Blake?
I had seen Lovewell Blake's stands at my college on careers days, and I had also heard from family and friends that Lovewell Blake was a well-known and respected local business that specialises in accountancy and financial services. I applied for the AAT apprenticeship and started as a trainee in one of the audit teams in the summer.
What is your role?
I am a trainee in one of the audit teams and am studying towards my AAT qualification as part of my apprenticeship.
Why do you enjoy your role?
I really enjoy how each day is varied, whether that is working in the office with the team, out at a client's, or at college for my study days. I also like that there are lots of people in my team who started at Lovewell Blake as apprentices and have helped me with my day-to-day work, as well as different aspects of my studies. It is nice to be able to work with lots of people, and I have learnt a lot from other colleagues' experiences so far.
