Why did you choose accountancy?
All throughout high school and college, I have always had an interest in maths and finance and knew this would be something I would enjoy doing full-time. Accountancy was the best option for me because I knew I would enjoy the every-day work as well as it being a rewarding job. In addition, it was something I could get into without having to go to university, which I did not want to do during covid.
Why did you choose Lovewell Blake?
I first heard of Lovewell Blake through my college, who helped me set up the interviews for my apprenticeship. Even though I was offered other apprenticeships, Lovewell Blake appealed to me the most due to it being a local firm. I have always lived in Norfolk, and Lovewell Blake works with and supports local businesses which I wanted to be a part of. They stood out to me during the interview process, making me feel welcome and part of team, as well has having supportive and inspiring staff.
What is your role?
I am an Audit Assistant at the Norwich office.
Why do you enjoy your role?
I enjoy my role for many reasons, including the way in which we face new challenges every day and with each client we meet. This means my brain is always active and I am able to learn something new with every situation I come across. My job role also means I get to work on site with clients, In addition to working in the office, which enables us as a team, to build better face to face relationships with the clients. One of the main reasons I enjoy my job is the supportive and encouraging team that I work with. There are many opportunities to get to know your own department as well as other departments in the office and outside of work.
