Organised by chartered accountants Lovewell Blake Bury St Edmunds office, the quiz saw around 100 eager competitors pitting their knowledge against each other at the town’s Guildhall.
A team from Beckett Investment Management Group were the eventual winners, for the second year in a row – but only after a nail-biting tie-break. A team made up of staff from Allica Bank and Lovewell Blake showed similar consistency by carrying off the wooden spoon, also for the second year running.
Abi Robinson, audit director at Lovewell Blake’s Bury St Edmunds office, said, “This is the second year we have run a charity quiz night, and it has already become a must-attend event in the local business calendar.
“We are delighted to have raised a total of £1,818 to support St Nicholas Hospice Care, and those taking part were inspired by Lee Graham from the hospice, who attended the evening to tell us about the important work it does in the community.”
